well, another (who-knows-how-long-since-I've-posted-a-journal) Journal where I talk about what I'm doing (or going to be doing).

first off: I should be getting a new computer pretty soon (if not sooner, x D ). so maybe that'll boost some performance/motivation to finish some artwork of mine, and maybe even try some other mediums (say 3D for example. I actually tried a long time ago, but my laptop was too crappy at the time and I had no knowledge of what I could get away with and still have the computer running decently. shame on me. x D ), but none the less, I will try my best to do so. even if I have a better-than-I-currently-have Computer, I will try not to distract myself with some awesome PC games (though I make no promises. x > )

now for the second item of business (as if I'm not already busy enough. x D ): I'm going to be at Animefest (or Afest) this year, as it is going to be my second trip. hopefully I'll be able to cast aside my shyness for some more social interactivity this year (first time's always a learning experience, second time's trying to remember what you learned the first time. x D ). If you happen to be in the area maybe we could hang out this upcoming labor day weekend, though it's still a bit early for me to know exactly what's going to happen in the area of guests, activities, showcase, etc (as of now while I'm writing this). but I'll post a link for the website if anyone's interested about what's going on for the weekend, as they'll update the site the closer we get to labor day weekend. I will also post a link after the convention is over for the Animefest Group here on DA as there will be new pics (most likely) of this years con.

and in other news: I've been working at a different job now for about 6-7 months now. A lot different than working at my former job at subway (it wasn't a bad experience while I was working there, it's just that I got a bit tired of the same thing for 5 years), instead I now work on pumpjacks in the oil field (for those who don't know what they are, just look on Google). This current job requires a lot more than the work I did with subway, so I've been a bit more preoccupied with trying to do my job right while trying not to loose my head (or arm, or leg, literally. x D ). But I've been earning a bit more than what I was before, which is allowing me to do more than I've done before ( hence the new desktop and trip out of town), so I'm try my best to keep this new job for the time being.


along with that: with my new job, it demands that I try to pay more close attention while I'm on the clock,  so I don't really get much time to sit down and draw as much as I used to. I'm still drawing, just not as much, but hopefully I'll continue to draw what I can when I can and hopefully improve my art, and other such works (really need to get into writing, which is probably why this whole journal is so damned long. x D ) .


and that's pretty much it for me. I will try to add more to my gallery (and possibly try to clean it up a bit if I figure out what to do with it) pretty soon.
